HES Board 2018-2019
PresidentLaura Lopez Hi everyone! My name is Laura and I'm a 4th year studying Environmental Economics with a minor in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research! I'm so excited about being part of the amazing team that is going to lead HES this year! HES has been one of the very few spaces on campus that have made me feel at home and its provided me with many resources that have helped me navigate Cal, which is why I'm so grateful for the opportunity to give back. During my time in HES, I've attended conferences, won competitions and learned the power of networking. After graduation, I hope to join the corporate workforce and travel! Vice PresidentXiomara Gonzalez Ever since I was a freshman, HES has been like a second family to me! I have been fortunate enough to meet some of the most intelligent and resilient people here at Berkeley through HES. I wanted to follow in the footsteps of the previous board members and continue to aid in the growth and development of the organization! In my "free" time I like to sketch up architectural plans, listen to my friends' Spotify playlists, and watch movies (the ones rated below 37% on Rotten Tomatoes). In the near future I plan to further my education and pursue a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering (possibly with a focus on BioE applications) and create wearable tech that is used worldwide. If you ever have any questions about majoring in EE/CS or anything else feel free to reach out! Email: xiomarag@berkeley.edu |
